Teen Voices – Global Debate

Learning to speak up, listen carefully and shape opinions in a respectful, democratic way.

Elementary Education

Programme

Give young people a voice through debate, dialogue and real-world discussions that build confidence and civic awareness.

Teen Voices – Global Debate invites secondary and high school students to step into the role of active speakers and thoughtful listeners. Over the course of the week, participants take part in interactive challenges, peer exchanges and practical debate sessions that focus on expressing ideas, questioning assumptions and engaging with social topics. Encounters with civic organisations add real-world context, while collaborative tasks encourage reflection, dialogue and confident communication.

  • Gain confidence when speaking in front of others
  • Structure arguments using facts and logical reasoning
  • Listen actively and respond thoughtfully to different viewpoints
  • Distinguish opinion from evidence in discussions
  • Work collaboratively in debate and preparation teams

  • Practise respectful disagreement and tolerance
  • Understand democratic values and civic participation
